Albanous Gituru, AmericaShare’s Kenya Country Director, passes out food in response to the COVID-19 pandemic’s economic impact on the Mukuru community

We are thrilled to share that AmericaShare Country Director Albanous Gituru is a special guest on the Conscious Traveler Podcast. The podcast explores the world through stories of culture, conservation, and community.

Journalist Eric Rosen traveled to Kenya with Micato Safaris in December and spent an afternoon at AmericaShare’s east Africa headquarters in Mukuru. While there, he sat down with Albanous to talk through our education and community outreach initiatives and details our COVID-19 response.

Internally we refer to Albanous as Bono because he’s an absolute rock star who gracefully leads our Kenya team and works tirelessly to make sure our programmes have a far-reaching impact on the Mukuru community.
